Mobile Marketing For Small Business…Anyone Know Where I Can Learn About This?

I have a small company and I keep hearing about mobile marketing. Anyone have any good resources?

Thanks!

Ben

Maya Mendoza answers:

Mobile is just unreal at this point. The targeting and the filters
used for that targeting enable some rather remarkable conversions.

And the costs per unique visitor can be under 10 cents per!

Here’s a great article…

This report will provide a little insight……

16-06-2006: mTouche to acquire WVAS company in China by year-end

Mobile technology provider mTouche Technology Bhd expects to acquire one of the largest wireless value-added services (WVAS) companies in China by year-end via its 40%-owned GMO Global Ltd, said mTouche chief executive officer Eugene Goh.

He said it had identified a few WVAS companies for strategic acquisition, and the proceeds from its recent proposed private placement of 10% of its paid-up share capital would mainly be used for the purpose.

He was speaking to reporters after its AGM and EGM in Petaling Jaya on June 16.

GMO Global is a joint venture (JV) company with Green Packet Bhd and OSK Ventures International Bhd (OSKVI), which hold the remaining 40% and 20%, respectively.

GMO Global’s 70%-owned MH Capital Inc, a JV with China’s Hong Xun Ltd, is involved in research and development (R&D) and provision of WVAS in Greater China.

Goh said Hong Xun had promised a profit guarantee of US$3 million (RM10.95 million) for GMO Global this year, riding on the rapid growth in the WVAS market in China in line with the upcoming Olympics Games.

“3G licences in China will be issued by year-end; new players are coming in and the telcos (telecommunication companies) there are getting more competitive to introduce more services.

“We see increasing number of mobile subscribers; it (profit guarantee) is quite a conservative figure and it can go more than that,” he said.

He said apart from providing services to the four largest telcos in China, namely China Mobile, China Telecom, China Netcom and China Unicom, GMO Global had more than 10,000 content providers using its system to sell ringtones, Java games and SMS contests to the subscribers.

How is t mobile market in the USA?

how is t mobile cell phone company market in USA and Germany?

Maya Mendoza answers:

It’s good in the cities, but doesn’t have extensive rural coverage. Also, only 3G in populated areas (most cities and some small towns).

Don’t know about Germany though.
