Facebook Changes & New Layout: What’s your take on your new look Facebook page?

New Facebook Changes 2011. Here is a great video review of the pros and cons of the new look Facebook.

I would love to hear your comments on this. Personally I really like some of the new features, like being able to see real time friend posts on the right hand side on my page. I feel this brings me fresh opportunities to engage, comment and socialise, which is after all the function of social media.

On the other hand I am little put out by the overt visibility of people’s life long information. This is just accessibility one step to much for me.

Facebook says, and I quote:

“Your profile should feel like your home on the web – you should never feel like stuff appears there that you don’t want, and you should never wonder who sees what’s there. The profile is getting some new tools that give you clearer, more consistent controls over how photos and posts get added to it, and who can see everything that lives there.”

Sharing personal information is in my control now. Thank god! Facebook has at last come up with this feature. Otherwise I always feared being stalked in my Facebook page. I even didn’t like people tagging me in photos. Now I can prevent that too.

As I logged into Facebook today I found my friends posts on the right hand side of my page. I simply liked the feature. This will definitely help me to comment on my friends posts easily and share my views.

Hey! The Facebook looks cool. Now I can share my information with people I like and can even control the photo tags. A good job, Facebook. We needed these changes to have more control on our profile.

The settings page has been uncluttered and this is a welcome change. The inline menu looks cool and is easy to use. I am sure with these changes, people like me will find using Facebook simpler.

Facebook rocks and now it looks better! I can now edit my profile easily and also control who sees what information. Allowing viewing of profiles by a click is a nice addition.

I don’t like to view my friends’ lifelong information. It is too much for me. I hope Facebook removes this feature and gets back to the older version. Otherwise the inline menu looks cool.

Facebook has literally become our home on the web. And I simply love the new features that enable me to control the photos and tags and posts. I hope Facebook keeps updating itself from time to time and makes it more secure.

I like the new changes but would like to see more security checks. I feel that Facebook lacks in this regard. But definitely these new changes will give me more control on what I share and with whom.

Almost everybody is on Facebook nowadays. It enjoys huge popularity not only amongst youngsters but the older generation also loves it because of its simplicity. With changes in security policies and tagging I think Facebook will be more popular now.
